From the Primary Deputy

Here we are at the final newsletter for 2017.  It is always a very strange experience, looking back over a year that you were certain only started a few weeks ago.  As usual, the highlights for me revolve around your children and the positive way in which they continue to conduct themselves.  Whether it is with their school work, sporting pursuits, cultural activities or serving others; the children at William Carey always do their best.  The overwhelming number of hampers donated is testament to this!  I am proud to work with them each day.

I would like to take this opportunity to farewell any students and families leaving us at the end of the year.  Be assured that you are in our prayers.

Our Presentation Assembly is on Thursday 7th December, starting at 9am. All parents are welcome to attend.  If your child is receiving an award, you should have been notified about this via a letter with your child’s report.  We look forward to celebrating the year with you.

As we wrap up the year, I would like to acknowledge the executive staff, teachers, learning support aides and admin staff who, under God, make William Carey Primary Department what it is.  No, we are not perfect but we are all focused on bringing out the best in your children each day.  We are blessed with a staff who love God, and want to share His love with the students, both in word and action.  This comes through in their dedication to their teaching as well as their care for the children.  My job would simply not be achievable without the ongoing support I receive from all of the Primary staff.

Have a safe and blessed Christmas, as you celebrate the birth of Our Lord.

In His service,

Robert Burgess
