Last week, William Carey Primary classes planted 100 new trees around the school as part of National Tree Day. Every Primary class planted at least one tree, most with the help of our school gardener, Mr Ben. All of the trees are Australian natives and were kindly donated by Liverpool Council or Planet Ark.

Primary students also completed activities related to trees and Tree Day throughout the week in their classes. Students learned about the science of how trees work as well as why trees are so important to us and our environment.

We look forward to watching these trees grow over many years to come! Please visit our gallery to see photos from the day.
