WCCS Parent Power Workshops are free evenings designed to build the partnership between learning at home and at school, by equipping parents and carers with practical tips and strategies for supporting children’s learning and homework. Our recent Parent Power Workshop explored tips and skills to support children in the areas of Literacy, Mathematics and Technology. Parents of children in Prep to Year 6 found this evening to be particularly useful. The workshops ran for 30 minutes each and were repeated throughout the evening, in order to allow parents and carers to rotate between all of them.
