James G. from Year 8 at WCCS was recently declared the joint National Champion of the Australian History Competition, sharing the honour with a student from Victoria and another from the Northern Territory.

James scored 49/50 in the National test conducted earlier this year. His love of history stems from a desire to see how things worked in the past, and to look at the finer details throughout the ages. James remarked, “My favourite areas of history are maritime and medieval history. I love the World Wars and British history also.”

Congratulations, James – we are thrilled that you have been recognised with this award.
