Years 7 and 8

(Stage 4)

Our motto for this stage is “Grow, explore, discover and enjoy”.

This has been chosen to encapsulate the key aspects of life in Years 7 and 8 at William Carey Christian School, which is a time of growing – physically, mentally and spiritually.

It is often a time of new experiences, new teachers and new rules, it is also a period of adjustment from Primary School.  Those continuing on from Year 6 at William Carey will have participated in a transition day towards the end of Year 6 in order to experience some of the new and interesting High School subjects.  We want Year 7 and 8 students to get a taste of what each subject entails and to see that the curriculum gives them a smorgasbord of learning areas to explore and see what they like and where their interests may lie down the track.

Year 7 students who are new to William Carey are warmly welcomed into the fold.  All High School students begin each day with a Pastoral Care teacher and a small group of boys or girls – during this time, the teacher marks the roll, hands out any notes and spends time discussing any issues that students may bring up.

Stage 4 is an exciting and challenging time that often sees the development of new friendships and the exploration of new educational experiences.

You may make an enrolment enquiry at any time or, if you would like to find out more about Years 7 and 8 at WCCS, you are welcome to take a tour of the school.
