Higher School Certificate

The Higher School Certificate (HSC) examinations all take place on the school grounds.  Check the NESA website for this year’s examination period dates.

2016 HSC Results

Congratulations to all of our HSC students on their hard work and wonderful achievements. HSC results were published on the 15th of December and ATARs released on the 16th of December.

In 2016, William Carey students achieved 25 Band 6 results (90% or more, or an E4 in an extension course) across 16 subject areas. 17 students received a Band 6 result in at least one subject. In addition, we had 181 Band 5 results (80% or more).

Subjects in which students earned Band 6 results were Mathematics (4), PDHPE (4), Modern History (2), Music 1 (2), English Extension 1 (1), Mathematics Extension 1 (1), Advanced English (1), Ancient History (1), Biology (1), Business Studies (1), Extension History (1), General Mathematics (1), IPT (1), Senior Science (1), Textiles and Design (1) and Visual Arts (1).

Congratulations to Hope Siciliano who achieved an ATAR ranking of 94.2 and Millicent Robertson whose ATAR is 93.5. Other outstanding achievements were made by Ruth Paul (93.2), Vishant Prasad (93.05), Elizabeth Hayes (91.9), Brian Bokalawela (91.8), Ethan Jones (91.6) and Kyra Lyell (91.05). Well done to all 80 of our HSC cohort – we pray your efforts are rewarded with the courses or careers that have been mapped out for you.
