Engineering Girls Day Out at UNSW Female students in Years 9 – 12 are invited to Engineering Girls Day Out, a one-day mini-conference to explore the different engineering disciplines, meet like-minded friends and be inspired by female role models in the industry! Friday 5 October, 9:00 am-5.30 pm at The Roundhouse, UNSW Kensington campus. Free to attend, lunch and snacks provided. Register here. 

The Hotel School to host HSC Revision Clinic The Hotel School is delighted to announce it will host its popular HSC Revision Clinic on the 4th of October at the Sydney CBD campus. This is a free event which is open to all Year 12 students. To secure a spot, students should register here as soon as possible.

Write Up – Creative Writing Workshop Wed 10 October – Ideal for Year 11 and 12, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm Write Up introduces students to the characteristics of great creative writing. The sessions focus on: shaping a narrative, the use of figurative language and motifs, setting and context, dialogue, point of view, and attitude in narration. Students will produce creative work throughout the sessions, learning in an environment that blends lectures with practical workshops. Find out more information here.

The Hotel School to host Discovery Day on 30th August On 30th August, The Hotel School will host Discovery Day. Your students will have a chance to meet our current students and engage in a networking lunch with our alumni. Discovery Day will be held on our CBD campus, located on 60 Phillip Street, Sydney. Scholarships for Y12 students AIQS offers scholarships for Year 12 students who qualify for entry into a Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Construction Management (Economics) or other appropriate course at an AIQS accredited Uni in Australia. Kenvale College – GET REAL EVENTS EXPERIENCE – Hospitality & Events Management Scholarship Program If you have a student who has a real passion for Event Management then our Get Real Events Experience program is for you. This is a partial scholarship program for Year 11 students in 2018. Our 10 finalists will be working in an events environment for a week. Entries now close on Wednesday 14th November. Design Portfolio Day – Western Sydney University If your students are looking for a career in graphic design, photography, illustration, art direction, digital media design or design education, they may be able to secure an Early Offer into our Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication). They will need to attend an interview and present a portfolio of their original creative work. Click here to register.

HSC Enrichment Day at Western Sydney University On Friday the 31st of August, Western Sydney University is providing students studying HSIE, Society and Culture or Geography the opportunity for HSC preparation and exam tips along with the chance to get an early offer into a degree in the social sciences. WORK EXPERIENCE

Students put surveying to the test on their work experience placements For students who love maths, geography, IT or the outdoors, NSW Surveying Taskforce can facilitate work experience placements with local surveying firms. Surveying is undergoing a skills shortage and tertiary graduates enter the profession in high demand. Students can learn more information about surveying work experience here.
