From the High School Deputies

During Weeks 3 and 4, Year 12 students are completing their final school based examinations.  Please remember these young men and women in your prayers and ask that our Lord may draw them close to Himself. Also pray that they may have the ability to trust in God and lean on Him in what can be a very difficult time.

William Carey is typical of many schools and each year there are a number of students who will be attempting the HSC examinations in Term 4 through accessing the disability provisions. Disability provisions in the HSC are practical arrangements designed to help students who couldn’t otherwise make a fair attempt to show what they know in an exam room. NESA determines disability provisions for the Higher School Certificate examinations.

To provide this service, we ask for parent volunteers. If you can help support our HSC students in this way, please contact me on 9608 2277 or send me an email. This is a very important service opportunity for the parents and carers in our School community and your support is vital.

For further information about what is involved can be found here.

For 2019, we are looking for a person that can take on the role of HSC Examination Presiding Officer. This role is someone who works for NESA and organises and manages the running of the HSC examinations at William Carey. The school would like to thank our current Presiding Officer, Mrs Harris, who will need to step down next year.  If you are interested or know of anyone that is suitable, I would be keen to discuss the role and requirements of this important job.

In His service,

Anthony Hudson,
Deputy Principal Administration.
(On behalf of the High School Deputies)
