Welcome back to school for Term 2. I hope that all families have had a good holiday and that everyone is feeling refreshed, ready for lots of learning and activity through to our midyear break.
I would encourage everyone to check the calendar on Edumate for details of planned events and download the new WCCS app (for your phone) to keep up to date with all school related matters.
Here are some particularly important dates for the term:
Year 11 Camp is on Week 2 at Galston Gorge and will focus on study skills.
High School photographs will be taken on Thursday 30th May. Full winter school uniform is required. L-Z Family photos will be taken at lunch time on the same day.
Students in Years 7 and 9 will be taking the National Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests in the week beginning 14th May.
Our Little Night Music Concert will be held on 1st June. This is an opportunity for families to be entertained by our talented students as they perform a range of musical pieces.
Year 10 students will sit the NESA Minimum Standards Tests starting from the 3rd June.
Thursday 20th June, Year 11 and 12 Parent teacher interviews will be conducted in the Hall and towards the end of term the Semester 1 Reports will be sent home.
Term 2 finishes on Friday 5th July with Term 3 recommencing on Monday 29th July, after a three week holiday for students.
Finally, on a different note, the Uniform Shop now stocks a new light weight back pack. Please see the following flyer here for more information.
