You may have noticed new fencing at the kerbside in front of the school. This is the end result of managing concerns about the safety of pedestrians crossing Bumbera St at the high risk vehicle entrances into the Prep School and main school carparks. The school sought a grant, and gratefully acknowledges receipt of $10,000 from NSW Roads and Maritime to Liverpool Council, who completed the project on our behalf. The school thanks both organisations for their help in this project. The fencing encourages pedestrians to walk up Bumbera St where they can do so at a safer place. An existing pedestrian access gate, adjacent to the softball diamond in the northwestern corner of Goldsmith oval, will also now be opened each morning and afternoon to assist pedestrian flow. We ask that no-one walks out through the vehicle lanes of the main gate due to obvious dangers involved.
