Drought Relief Fundraiser – Thank You Everyone!
We held our drought relief fundraiser last week and it was a great day.  Lots of little farmers were wandering around the school!  As always, I am amazed by the generosity of our school community, giving generously to those in need.  I hope to report a final figure soon, or maybe Mr McMullen will, but last total I heard was just below $5000.  Thank you all!  As mentioned previously, this money will be sent through to The Bush Church Aid Society, for distribution in farming communities.

Congratulations to our Budding Poets
We had some amazing entries to our poetry competition this year.  As a judge for one of the grades, I found it extremely difficult to choose between the different styles and themes.  A selection of our winning poems can be found here.

Parent/Teacher Interviews
Thank you to the many families who attended our recent Parent/Teacher interviews.  These are such a vital part of our home/school partnership, and provide a great opportunity to share information.

End of Term Busyness for Year 12
End of Term 3 is a busy time for our friends in Year 12.  They are wrapping up 13 years of study and preparing for their HSC exams.  Fittingly, we farewell Year 12 with a significant assembly in the last week of term.  Also fittingly, the Primary Department are involved in this assembly, with Kindergarten and Year 6 performing.  We respectfully ask parents of these grades not to attend this assembly, as we simply can’t fit you in!  You will have a wonderful chance to see both grades perform later in the year, at the Year 6 Graduation.

Awards System
Our new awards system is humming along nicely.  At our recent K-6 assembly, we were able to hand out a number of Bronze Awards (5 Teacher Awards) to our students.  As of next term, we will cease handing out Deputy Principal Awards, as the new system is fully embedded.  Some students ask what they need to do to receive an award.  Other than directing them to the five Student Attributes (Be a Learner, Be a Team Member, Be Respectful, Be Leaders and Helpers, Be Wise and Brave) I also point out to them that awards are given for behaviour beyond the everyday.
