Part of the broader education in life skills provided by the school is to give students the opportunity to participate in Driver Education Programs. This has been a challenge this year due to COVID-19. Traditionally, Year 11 has gone off-site to RYDA.
RYDA is a road safety program designed to reduce the trauma on our roads by encouraging Year 11 students to take a more responsible attitude to motoring. This year, RYDA came to our school this term to run their program.
William Carey is committed to assisting our students in all areas of their lives, including this vital area of driver safety.
This program and other initiatives to come were funded by a grant provided to our school by Liverpool Catholic Club through the ClubGrants funding distributed each year. We very much appreciate the community support the club has given us and would like to formally acknowledge their contribution to our school.
