Well, we made it! Term 4! How good does that sound? Term 4 reaches all of us at a time where we are tired and run down, but we would like to encourage each one of you to continue persevering through to the close of this challenging year.
Term 4 brings many things to the plate, including the newly appointed SLC team. Speaking on behalf of this council, we are both very blessed and very thankful for the opportunities this position has gifted us. We are extremely excited and ready to work hands-on with our grades, serving God and his people. Some time over the next couple of weeks we hope to visit each Pastoral Care class to get to know our grades a little bit better and to introduce ourselves.
With Book Week just passing, we would like to say thank you from the whole school community, to our Librarians. Thank you for the effort and enthusiasm you have put into running such an extraordinary event for Primary, even going to the effort to dress up as unicorns and be a part of the fun. Primary also did an amazing job at dressing up as their favourite characters. They all looked amazing!
You might have noticed over the past week in the afternoon, that we have many little people running around for the Kindy orientation. Thanks to all of the staff involved! We are so excited to be welcoming these Kindy kids into our school community.
As MISA begins to start up again, we are thankful for the ability to ease slowly back into normality. A big thank you to the school community for consistently being patient through these changing times, and willing to be flexible around the school activities that did not take place this year. A massive thank you goes out to Mrs Worsley, for the effort and time she has put in to readjusting the sport plans to fit the ever changing COVID-19 guidelines. We are particularly thankful for your willingness to organise these activities and to ensure that through these times, we can still play school sport.
For those of you that are still going through exams, keep persevering through them, it will all be over soon. For those receiving their exam results, try not to take them to heart, ultimately these do not decide your worth or identity. You are a child of God and are so precious in his sight. For the Year 12s who are sitting their HSC exams, we are praying for clear minds and settled hearts, so that you complete these exams to the best of your ability.
Keep at it! The term is almost over.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6
On behalf of the SLC,
Abigail and Ricky
