The musical is swiftly approaching, and as it does, the excitement and nerves are also building up amongst our school community. All of the cast and crew involved in the production of this spectacular show have put in great efforts to see the musical be the best that it can be. Don’t forget that tickets are on sale now, so buy yours fast before they are sold out! If you would be interested in helping out with the security/parking, cooking, or food and drink stalls throughout the musical please be in contact with Caroline Young or Kylie Adams; we would extremely appreciate your help!

Year 12 have just finished their HSC trial exams. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this tough period of hard work and stress as they look forward to the final exams. Proverbs 3:5-6 says “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Year 12, remember that whatever marks you received, good or bad, your relationship with God will not be damaged. His love for you is not shaken by the marks you earn or of what people think of you. He loves you not because of your knowledge or good deeds, but because of your faith. Take your stress and anxiety to the Lord, and he will sustain you, for God will never let the righteous fall.

The search for the new additions to the Student Leadership Council is quickly coming to a close. Mr White and Miss Morphett have finished the interview stage and now it is on to the voting stage. Both year 10 and 11, along with staff, voted this week for the boys and girls who they believe will best serve William Carey. We all on the SLC are greatly looking forward to working with the new council to serve our school. We pray that the new council will serve with Godly values, rather than worldly morals, in order to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Galatians 5:13 says, “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge in the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Love should be the basis of everything we do, especially as we walk throughout our everyday life knowing that God the creator of the universe loves us each with an undying and everlasting love.

Thanks for all your support,
