Year 10 Experience the Wonder of Work

The majority of Year 10 students were able to do a week’s work experience in the 3rd week of the July school holidays. We have gathered some exceptionally positive feedback we would like to share with the rest of the school community. Well done to all of year 10 for their hard work and dedication. You have represented the school in such a wonderful way!

We asked Year 10 Students: “Did you enjoy your work experience”. Here are just a sample of their responses:

  1. “I leant many new concepts and used futuristic equipment. I was able to integrate my own knowledge into the work place.”  Aditya C
  2. “I thoroughly enjoyed it. I discovered a new work interest and passion that I would love to pursue.”  Ashleigh E
  3. “I enjoyed serving other people because it put me in a state of putting others before myself.” Dylan H
  4. “Working in childcare isn’t easy. My ideas about work were simple.  I thought it was going to be easy but it is not as easy as I thought, especially the hours.”  Tijana K
  5. “Yes. It gave me a huge insight as to what nursing is like. I enjoyed every second and would do this week again anytime if I got the chance.” Jackelyn W

Employers were also asked to pass comment on what they thought of our students – here are some of their comments:

  1. “Just a quick email to thank you for sending Daniel to us for the week. I found him to be such a polite, respectful young man who left a very positive impression upon everyone he dealt with here at LCC.  A wonderful reflection of both his schooling and upbringing and he can come and work for me any day!  I wish Daniel all the best for the future and am excited for what that might hold.”  Liverpool City Council
  2. “[Joel is the] best work experience kid I’ve had.” Primo Electrical Services
  3. “She is doing an amazing job. We would like to offer her [Keziah] a traineeship in the future when she turns 18.”  Bow Bowing World of Learning.
  4. “Corina was professional, polite and most importantly, showed she was passionate about her future career goals.” Westpac Group Property.
  5. “I was really impressed with his willingness to give things a go and he has a very good phone manner. He’s articulate, clear and confident. Well done Dom we enjoyed having you.” R & W Ingleburn.
  6. “Kaysia is an absolute delight. Extremely hard working and clearly very passionate about books and publishing. We see a bright future for her, and have loved having her in the office.” Pantera Press.
